About Us

'A small Indie business based in the West of Ireland making Hardwood Jewellery inspired by Celtic symbols & motifs amongst other things...'

Originally from Dublin, I relocated to the West of Ireland in 2009 and built my workshop overlooking Clew Bay and Clare Island in the beautiful townland of Curradavit.

My Workshop  (I spend more time in here than I should ;-) )

I started out making hardwood wall hangings based on the Book of Kells illuminated manuscripts but alas, they proved too difficult to ship due to prohibitive shipping costs so I turned my attention to Jewellery Making which proved to be more successful (and much easier on my back!)

I also made a custom range of Nightlights but finally, in 2014 I decided to concentrate on my own range of Hardwood Pendants.

I now specialise in Hardwood Pendants embellished with Celtic Motifs & Symbols in pewter and other metals.

My ever expanding range of Hardwood Pendants

For my wooden pendants I use best quality hardwood including Oak, Beech, Ash, Black Walnut & Iroko from suppliers certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). All metal and wire accents are lead and nickel free. I use a variety of techniques to produce my jewellery pieces including CNC machining which allows me to make and sell my jewellery at reasonable prices.

This is my Jewellery bench where I spend a LOT of time (far too much I'm told!)

I also make a range of natural Agate gemstones (one off pieces) decorated with some not so Celtic designs!

When I take a break from the workshop I like to visit the local historic sites and see if I can't find some inspiration for new pieces.

We are also blessed with some fabulous local beaches that are great for clearing the head!

So that's me and curracelticjewellery.ie in a Nutshell. I look forward to designing new pieces on an ongoing basis so please drop by once in a while as you never know what I'll get up to next (I know I don't! ;-))
